Lynn Hixon III and Stacy Hixon

CoFounders of Steel Armor Mindset
Lynn and Stacy Hixon bring together lived experience, professional expertise, and a shared commitment to the mental health of those who serve.
Lynn is a law enforcement lieutenant, peace officer, Master Jailer, and U.S. Navy veteran who served as a Master at Arms. His years in military and civilian law enforcement give him firsthand understanding of the culture, pressure, leadership demands, and personal cost that can come with a life of service.
Stacy Hixon is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and trauma clinician with extensive experience supporting first responders, veterans, couples, and families. Her work focuses on trauma, chronic stress, emotional regulation, identity, relationships, and the impact high stress professions can have both on the individual and at home.
Together, Lynn and Stacy developed Steel Armor Mindset to bridge the space between operational culture and mental health education. Their approach is practical, trauma informed, culturally aware, and grounded in the belief that mental readiness should be treated as part of overall readiness, not as a response reserved for crisis.
Their shared goal is simple: help those who serve strengthen resilience, protect relationships, reconnect with identity, and build a life that remains strong both on duty and beyond it.
The mind is your first line of defense.

Abigail Moore
Founder, The Blue Rose Project
Abigail Moore founded The Blue Rose Project in memory of her father, Officer Matthew Moore of the Keller Police Department. With a background in psychology and a personal connection to the impact of mental health struggles within law enforcement families, Abigail brings an important advocacy and family perspective to Steel Armor Mindset.
Through The Blue Rose Project, she works to increase awareness, reduce stigma and support first responders and families affected by the unseen weight of service. Her role within Steel Armor Mindset helps keep the program connected to the lived experiences of families, advocacy and the importance of reaching people before they feel alone in what they are carrying.
