Two Stories. One Mission.

The Blue Rose Project

Founded by Abigail Moore in loving memory of her father, Officer Matthew Moore, a respected member of the Keller Police Department who lost his battle with mental-health struggles in 2025.

The blue rose symbolizes the rare and extraordinary—just like the courage of first responders who fight unseen battles every day. Through awareness campaigns, apparel, and fundraising, the Project shares one message:
“Roses for the Fallen. Hope for the Living.”

LifeWise Counseling and Wellness, LLC

Founded by Lynn and Stacy Hixon, LifeWise Counseling and Wellness was born from a shared commitment to service and mental health care.

Lynn is a Lieutenant, Peace Officer, and Master Jailer, as well as a U.S. Navy veteran who served as a Master-at-Arms. Both Lynn and Stacy earned degrees in psychology and counseling and have dedicated their careers to supporting the mental health of first responders and their families.

Stacy is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and Life Coach. Lynn serves as a Life Coach and mentor for first responders and veterans.

Their daughter continues the family legacy of service by pursuing a degree in social work. LifeWise now includes a team of licensed counselors and life coaches specializing in trauma-informed therapy, crisis response, and resilience training.

Coming Together

After hearing Abigail’s story and learning of her background in psychology, Stacy Hixon reached out to The Blue Rose Project to collaborate. That connection sparked the Steel Armor Mindset – a partnership where advocacy meets access, uniting lived experience and professional expertise to strengthen the mental health of those who serve.

Together, The Blue Rose Project and LifeWise Counseling and Wellness are working to reduce stigma, expand access, and reinforce resilience within law enforcement and corrections communities.

Because steel can be reforged.
So can we.
